Together with Fightin' Marines, this was Charlton's longest running war title. It was mostly anthology stories, with here and there a returning feature, such as The Lonely War of Captain Willie Schultz (written by Willy Frantz and mostly illustrated by Sam Glanzman) and the Devil Brigade.

The later issues were mostly reprints, with some new material.

Modern Comics published a reprint of #108 (1977).

Run: #16 (January 1956)-127 (December 1976), #128 (September 1977)-172 (November 1984).
